Music

When a person clicks onto the site for a music department, they may expect to read something from Ephesians encouraging us to “speak to one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs,” or something from Psalm 100 about “making a joyful noise to the Lord,” or they expect to see an invitation to share in the ministry and join a musical group. We love those ideas, and pray that our intent is to praise and lead in worship, but we also pray that we will enjoy the fellowship that comes from our times of musical service together.

The scriptures tell us that what comes out of our mouths is a result of what is found in our hearts. May God fill our hearts, so that they are constantly overflowing with praise for Him. God’s intent is not limited to a special time, or a certain method of communication, but rather that we praise as we sing, we praise as we walk, we praise as we talk.

We pray that music brings true worship as we rehearse; whether we are preparing handbells, warming up the orchestra, or enjoying the Wednesday Sanctuary Choir rehearsal.
