Our History

Find Where God is Working…

Woodland Baptist Church (WBC) was organized in 1943, near Bradley University. In order to obtain room for parking, worship and Bible study, the church moved to Allen Road in 1974.

God’s Blessings…

Since that time we have constructed new additions twice, and in 2003, completely renovated the sanctuary. Woodland Baptist Church is open to all people. You will receive a warm welcome to any of our services. Becoming a member of Woodland is available to all who have accepted Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. Members are received in various ways. If you have an interest or questions, please contact a staff member.

God Continues His Blessings….

Woodland is also home to the Peoria Chinese Christian Church and has been home to the Peoria Korean American Baptist Church. The Peoria Chinese Christian Church meets on Sunday mornings for worship, and members of the congregations meet at various times during the week for prayer and fellowship. WBC families participate in mission trips to various places around the country each year. The youth also participate in a yearly mission trip, called Mission Serve, repairing homes for needy people. WBC Handbell Choirs have led in teaching during worship presentations in various countries. Construction personnel from our church have aided in projects within and outside the USA.  To find out more about our missions and ministries, click here.
